RESUMO

Resumen Este proyecto se desarrolló en la Universidad de Ibagué entre los años 2016 y 2018, y, se sitúa como una alternativa participativa en procesos de promoción y educación para la salud. Esta es la cuarta etapa de un macroproyecto titulado Estudio sistémico de una Universidad Saludable. Los primeros momentos del proyecto buscaron estructurar la situación actual del modelo de universidad promotora de la salud, luego, estudiar las concepciones y representaciones de constructos como universidad saludable, salud y salud mental desde las narrativas de los miembros de la universidad. Objetivo: en esta fase se buscó diseñar una metodología para la co-creación de ambientes saludables en contexto universitario. Materiales y métodos: se siguió una metodología cualitativa de investigación-creación en tres fases. Una fase de co-creación, una fase de prototipado y desarrollo de propuestas y una fase de evaluación y diseño metodológico. Resultados: se dio cuenta del diseño de una metodología y la co-creación de tres prototipos de ambientes saludables. Conclusiones: los procesos de co-creación de ambientes saludables son una ruta para la educación y promoción de la salud, y favorecen el reconocimiento de necesidades locales, culturalmente viables e incentivan la participación de todas las personas involucradas.


Abstract This project was developed at Universidad de Ibague between 2016 and 2018, and it is situated as a participatory alternative in health promotion and education processes. This is the fourth stage of a macro project entitled Systemic Study of a Healthy University. The first moments of the project sought to structure the current situation of the Health Promoting University model and then to study the conceptions and representations of constructs such as healthy university and health and mental health from the narratives of members of the university. Objective: In this phase it was sought to design a methodology for the co-creation of healthy environments in a university context. Materials and methods: A qualitative research-creation methodology was followed in three phases: A co-creation phase, a prototyping and proposal development phase, and an evaluation and methodological design phase. Results: The design of a methodology and the co-creation of three prototypes of healthy environments were carried out. Conclusions: The processes of co-creation of healthy environments are a route for education and health promotion, favor the recognition of local culturally viable needs, and encourage the participation of all the people involved.


Resumo Este projeto se desenvolveu na Universidade de Ibagué entre os anos 2016 e 2018, e, situa-se como una alternativa participativa em processos de promoção e educação para a saúde. Esta é a quarta etapa de um macroprojecto titulado Estudo sistémico de uma Universidade Saudável. Os primeiros momentos do projeto buscaram estruturar a situação atual do modelo de universidade promotora da saúde, logo, estudar as concepções e representações de constructos como universidade saudável, saúde e saúde mental desde as narrativas dos membros da universidade. Objetivo: nesta fase se procurou desenhar uma metodologia para a co-criação de ambientes saudáveis em contexto universitário. Materiais e métodos: seguiu-se uma metodologia qualitativa de pesquisa criação em três fases. Uma fase de co-criação, uma fase de protótipo e desenvolvimento de propostas e uma fase de avaliação e desenho metodológico. Resultados: dar-se conta de um desenho de uma metodologia e a co-criação de três protótipos de ambientes saudáveis. Conclusões: os processos de co-criação de ambientes saudáveis são uma via para a educação e promoção da saúde, e favorecem o reconhecimento de necessidades locais, culturalmente viáveis e incentivam a participação de todas as pessoas involucradas.

La vinculación de la universidad con la comunidad a la que pertenece es uno de los principios básicos en los que esta institución se sustenta. Una comunidad será saludable en la medida en que existan múltiples conexiones entre los individuos y las subagrupaciones que la integran. Al trabajar en promoción de la salud, hablar de participación y de modelos participativos implica asumir que personas y comunidades tienen el derecho de autogestionarse. Viabilizar la participación implicará abrir posibilidades para la cogestión, la autonomía, la comprensión de realidades dinámicas, la formalización de alianzas y la transformación de contextos y formas de relación. Implicará entender la salud como un derecho. El trabajo en red es fundamental en un mundo interconectado y global. El Proyecto de Universidades Promotoras de Salud se construye desde sus inicios con la participación de la comunidad universitaria con el objetivo de mejorar las condiciones para la salud, la calidad de vida y el bienestar de todos los miembros de la comunidad. Las universidades son escenarios idóneos para implementar estrategias de mejora de los estilos de vida de sus miembros, que además trasciendan a los espacios universitarios y afecten positivamente a la vida de las personas dentro y fuera de los campus. Las redes de Universidades Promotoras de la Salud en América Latina se institucionalizaron en el año 2003, y tomaron forma de Red Iberoamericana de Universidades Promotoras de la Salud en 2007, en el marco del III Congreso de Universidades Promotoras de la Salud desarrollado en Ciudad Juárez, México. En España se creó en 2008 la Red Española de Universidades Saludables con el objetivo de reforzar el papel de las universidades como entornos promotores de la salud y el bienestar tanto de sus estudiantes como de su personal y de la sociedad, liderando y apoyando procesos de cambio social


The connection of the University with the community to which it belongs is one of the basic principles on which the former is based. A community will be healthy as long as there are many connections between the individuals and sub-groups that form it. Working on health promotion, talking about participation and participatory models implies the assumption that people and communities have the right to self-manage. Implementing participation will involve opening up possibilities for co-management, autonomy, understanding of dynamic realities, the formalization of alliances, the transformation of contexts, and forms of relationship. It will involve understanding health as a right. Networking is fundamental in an interconnected and global world. Since its inception, the Project of Health Promoting Universities has been built with the participation of the university community towards improving the conditions for health, quality of life and well-being of all members of the community. Universities are ideal scenarios to implement strategies to improve the lifestyles of their members that also transcend to the university spaces and positively affect the lives of people on and off campus. The networks of Health Promoting Universities in Latin America were institutionalized in 2003, and took the form of the Ibero-American Network of Health Promoting Universities in 2007 within the framework of the third Conference on Health Promoting Universities held in the city of Juarez, Mexico. In 2008, the Spanish Network of Healthy Universities was created in Spain, in order to enhance the role of universities as environments that promote the health and well-being of their students, their staff and society, leading and supporting processes of social change

RESUMO

La Pontificia Universidad Javeriana inició el proceso de convertirse en una universidad saludable en 2003. El proceso lo ha realizado en tres fases: en la preparación, se discutió el marco conceptual y se creó el equipo asesor; la puesta en operación incluyó la obtención de información sobre el perfil de riesgo y la situación de salud, la articulación de las diferentes instancias universitarias, la integración a los currículos y la ejecución de acciones específicas de promoción y prevención de la educación para el autocuidado; en la fase de consolidación, se planteó la formulación de políticas institucionales y la implementación de un sistema de evaluación permanente. La generación de una cultura saludable no depende únicamente de las personas y, por esta razón, ha sido fundamental trabajar en la estructura, las políticas y las decisiones estratégicas. Éste es un proyecto construido con la participación de la comunidad universitaria y con el que se espera mejorar los estilos de vida y reforzar valores como la solidaridad y la responsabilidad.


The Pontificia Universidad Javeriana started a process to become a healthy university in 2003. The process was defined in three phases: preparation that includes building a framework and establishing a multidisciplinary advisory team; implementation that includes gathering information about risk profiles and health situation, articulating university departments and faculties, integrating self-care education intoacademic curricula, and developing specific health promotion and preventive activities; consolidationphase, the last one which includes corporate health promotion policy formulation and implementationof evaluation systems. Promoting a new culture depends not only on people´s behavior but on political stewardship, infrastructure, and suitable strategies properly coordinated. Healthy University´s success depends on the participation of the entire community; it is expected to improve lifestyles by reinforcing values such as solidarity,and responsibility.
